We are seeking experienced sales professionals who are persistent, curious, and confident and work collaboratively with a team of driven professionals.  We love to win and have a passion for the energy efficiency and renewable energy industry.  

The ideal candidate has advanced experience selling to executive level individuals, preferably having sold energy or contracting services or enterprise software to public entities (Cities, Counties, School Districts, Higher Education, etc.) with a track-record of closing multi-million dollars annually.  Existing relationships with K12 and Local Governments are a huge advantage.

To be successful you must have the ability to relate to individuals at all levels, and to communicate both on a financial and technical basis to educate clients on turnkey, design-build energy contracting and project financing options.  You must be able to qualify prospective customers and self-manage your time and focus on the most attractive opportunities.  

Responsible for

Business Development:
  • Consultative Relationship Management.
  • Building and owning market strategies including Target Market analysis, SWOT analysis, competitive analysis and vertical market and horizontal offering strategies.
  • Promoting Syserco Energy Solutions through seminars, meetings, consultant visits, and trade associations.
  • Team selling with other Salespeople as appropriate. 
Client Relations:
  • Developing rapport and acting as the client's single point of accountability and trusted advisor / advocate.
  • Providing support to the customer with regards to Project's financing and contracting issues.
  • Guiding clients through energy efficiency project contracting and financing processes.
  • Maintaining world-class customer satisfaction through an in-depth knowledge of customer’s organization, increasing account dedication, timely communication, and follow-up.
  • Facilitating communication among and between project team(s), other Syserco departments and external Partners (vendors, subcontractors, financial providers).
  • Organizing client meetings and delivering presentations.
  • Reporting on financial status of projects to stakeholders

Qualified candidates will possess the following:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, engineering, construction management or equivalent business experience required.
  • Knowledge of building infrastructure systems, facility management, and critical facilities.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience as an individual contributor, ideally with an energy services or related organization, with responsibilities for identifying leads, closing sales, and providing oversight to a project implementation team required.
  • Experience with Enterprise Sales Training Programs such as: Challenger Sales, Target Account Selling, Strategic Selling, SPIN Selling.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Visio) required; working knowledge of SharePoint preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, presentation and time-management skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel regionally.
  • Physical ability to navigate jobsites in uneven terrain.
  • Ability to provide personal transportation for meeting sand job visits away from the office; reimbursed or CA driving record that allows participation in Company Vehicle Program.
